Dr. Drain provides psychotherapy and psychological assessments for children and adolescents who are experiencing a range of issues, including:
Developmental disorders (including autism spectrum disorders)
Intellectual disorders
Learning disorders
Mental health and behavioural needs
Dr. Drain received her PhD in School and Clinical Child Psychology from the University of Toronto. She is a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario and is a Registered Psychologist. Dr. Drain has provided a range of psychological services to children and youth with complex mental health and/or developmental challenges in schools, community mental health agencies (Child and Adolescent Services of Hamilton, Family Services York Region, and Parent Resource Institute), and hospitals (Trillium Health Centre, London Health Sciences Centre, and St. Joseph’s Health Care – Regional Mental Health Care – London). She has over 15 years of experience working in the field of applied behaviour analysis, implementing, supervising and/or providing clinical consultation to behavioural treatment programs. In addition to her work at Waterloo Psychology Group, Dr. Drain works part-time for the Upper Grand District School Board and in private practice.
