Dr. Royal practices in the area of clinical psychology. She received extensive training and supervision in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Dr. Royal completed her PhD at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). She holds staff psychologist positions at University Health Network in Toronto in the Bariatric Surgery Program and Eating Disorder Program. She previously worked in the Borderline Personality Disorder Service at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton and completed her predoctoral residency at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in the Borderline Personality Disorder Clinic and Work, Stress and Health Program.
